Quantified achievements are one of the most consistently recommended CV improvements, yet many candidates struggle to find numbers to include, particularly outside of sales or finance roles.
Quantification does not always mean revenue or percentages. It can include the size of a team you coordinated with, the number of projects delivered, the volume of requests handled, the length of time a process was shortened by, or the scale of an audience you communicated with.
For example, instead of writing 'responsible for customer support,' consider 'resolved an average of 40 customer inquiries daily while maintaining a 95 percent satisfaction rating.' The second version is more specific and far more memorable.
If exact figures are not available, reasonable estimates are acceptable as long as they are honest and defensible. Even an approximate scale — "supported a team of around 15 people" — adds far more credibility than a vague description alone.
Go through each bullet point on your CV and ask: could this include a number, a scale, or a measurable outcome? Even a small adjustment here can significantly strengthen how your experience is perceived.
